Did you know…

Did you know that in the U.S. what we know as ‘garage sales’ are commonly identified as ‘tag sales’? Although one suspects that stickers will often fill-in for tags there, just as they do here, at least the activity description is more in the ballpark.  Unless it rains.  In which case the merchandise may well find itself back in a garage with the tags removed or damaged by water. Yet, I’ve never heard of garages or tags being sold at such redistribution events. (more…)

These seem like such obvious observations, yet little is being done by the parties involved to improve the situations.

Why do telemarketing organizations persist in having their callers ask as part of their opening salvo, “How are you doing today?”

Why do young retail workers persist in describing a purchase decision as, “Perfect!” (more…)

One of the best responses to annoyingly dumb behaviour coined by recently departed, and sadly missed, comedian John Pinette was “Get out of the line!”  His stories featuring this plea were usually about food.
