Memorable Quotes # 33

A last gathering of his excerpts on this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend

On Wealth:

To become financially independent you must turn part of your income into capital; turn capital into enterprise; turn enterprise into profit; turn profit into investment; and turn investment into financial independence.

On Motivation:

Give a lecture to a thousand people.  One walks out and says, “I’m going to change my life.”  Another one walks out with a yawn and says, “I’ve heard all this before.”  Why is that? Why wouldn’t both be affected the same way?

My suggestion would be to walk away from the 90% who don’t and join the 10% who do.

From ‘The Treasury of Quotes’ by Jim Rohn (1993)
