Creative commentary plus crafty composition

While the calendar now says March, the temperature forecast remains iffy, so here’s more warmth from enlivened clichés (with the original in italics):

  • If you lose your lunch in that stupid bet it’s going to be a long, long wait for dinner
  • I know those growth hormones are impressive, but do you really think they can make a mountain out of a molehill?
  • Thanks to his adversary’s shaky holster, the gunslinger had the better luck of the draw
  • If a man’s home is his castle, that’s one pretty impressive chess board!
  • It’s much easier to look into your heart if you do it with x-rays
  • He needed more freezings once the dentist discovered the extent to which he was long in the tooth
  • Since that species needs a crevice to build its nest, let’s make a break for it in the cliff
  • Once it’s anaesthetized and in solution, we can mail it in to the institute for further study
  • The long and the short of it is that the length of nightwear you need really depends on the temperature
  • I have faith my car can make the grade even if it’s long uphill climb
