Creative commentary plus crafty composition

Here’s another round of enlivened clichés (with the original in italics):

  • I hate to say this, but it hasn’t been put to music yet
  • If one is in for a penny, in for a pound, imagine what would happen to you if you’re in for a whole dollar
  • It’s true that it’s all over but the crying shame is that it’ll start up again tomorrow
  • We can enjoy saying it’s a lemon because that’s our favourite pie
  • For sure it’s hot in there, however, you need to keep your shirt on if you expect a positive review
  • She wants literally to stay in touch, so she’ll keep an eye on you, then a hand, then a foot…
  • If you expect the Mobius strip to finish just around the bend then you’re in for a big disappointment
  • I found the canvas on the shelf so don’t worry about the car, I’ve got it covered
  • It’s never too late to learn unless it’s past your bedtime
  • The horse riders didn’t know what the correct order was, so they were left jockeying for position
