This is the sign on Uplands Drive south which is supposed to direct travelers to Ottawa International Airport. Note that in the upper right hand corner is the only airport related notation, representing about one-sixth of the overall space. Unless one catches sight of it and knows that ‘terminal’ means ‘main airport entrance’, it would be easy to miss. (I was witness to this folly recently.) It’s high time the city spent a little of its signage budget to correct this distracting, second-class, and deteriorating notice. Good thing this isn’t Canada’s capital – oh wait, it is!
